Today we visited an artist colony in Jaipur. They showed us puppetry, weaving, bead-making, and dance. It was a fun and eventful day! Everyone was very welcoming, friendly, and open to hugs, hand-shakes, holding babies and little kids, asking out names, etc. Rishi-ji told us that even though the community lives in "slums," many of the residents have passports and have traveled around the world sharing their talents, dances, customs and art. I feel very privileged to have visited their homes and learned from them.
